Amy R. Hamel - has the following Real Estate Designations: ABR, GREEN-National Assoctation of Realtors Designation for the knowledge of green building concepts and advocacy of the green building movement. Completed FIRE (Fundamentals in Real Estate) and is working on getting the GRI designation, and in 2006 was awarded our Local Real Estate Board's "Newcomer of the Year Award for the Pioneer Valley."

I was born and raised in the Pioneer Valley.

I grew up in South Hadley and moved to Amherst in 1978 with my husband Paul, where we raised our two children Aaron & Amy.To this day we continue to love living here in "The Happy Valley." In my free time I enjoy traveling, attending plays, shopping, playing cards with friends & family, being active in the Arts, and working on various committees.

Amy grew up in Amherst. She Graduated from Amherst High School in 2000, moved to Boston, MA for a year, followed by Brooklyn, NY for a year. She moved back to Amherst to complete her Bachelors Degree in Behavior Sciences, which she did in 2005 from Umass Amherst. In March 2009, Amy became aYoga Instructor after completing 200hrs of training. In her free time Amy enjoys playing Softball, Tennis & Golf.

She gives back to her town/community by being a member of these various Organizations & Event Committees: Chamber of Commerce, Fine Arts Gala & Amherst 250th Parade and Gala. Amy currently resides in Amherst with her Husband, Jeffrey Peddar- Owner of Peddar Fitness on Route 9 in Amherst.
